History

Established in 1903 by a group of forward thinking farmers who wished to market their products more effectively Fane Valley Co-operative Society Ltd. is now a major force in the Irish Agri- Food Industry. The original Fane Valley dairy was located on the banks of the river Fane bordering counties Armagh and Monaghan. Today a Fane Valley Store operates from this site providing a vital service to local farmers.

Fane Valley now has a  turnover in excess of £450m and employs 2,100 people with sites in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, England and Belgium.

Fane Valley is still a Co-Operative Society and is owned by approximately 1250 local farmer shareholders, led by a board of farmer directors. Fane Valley is now  engaged in red meat, offal, porridge oats, cereals, animal feeds, renewal energy and supplies farm requisites to farmers.
